Monique Britten

Monique divides her time between her family, a career in Calgary's business community and writing.

Monique began her career teaching high school Physics and Chemistry. After five years of teaching, she obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary (2002). Following this, she embarked on a career in Calgary's oil and gas sector and held a number of upper management positions over a 15 year period including Director QHSE for a pipe distribution company and Director HSEQ for an oilfield service company.  

Recently, Monique took the entrepreneurial plunge and purchased a Calgary-based flower shop, called Flower Chix ( www.flowerchix.com). Monique lives in Calgary with her husband and three children. She  began writing The Day Before Tomorrow in April 2009. This is her first novel.
